LOL!!! I feel the same way with our chicken coop! My husband is doing most of the work! I do try and help where I can, LOL!  And I follow your sentiment of needing lots of things! I am a stay at home mom who tries to superwoman it all (My brain says, yes you can! My body says, are you insane!?!?!).

Anywho...we're building another coop! Well, my husband is, mostly. I've put in 2 screws so far. I'll post pics wen I get to my computer, can't do it from the iPad. I need an acre...or two. *sigh* and a bigger house...and a nanny...I better stop, this list is getting looooong.

You and me both!  I work...I mean stay...at home.  But with me, it's my husband who says I'm insane. big_smile.png He might be right...muahahaha!

PS. My kids keep asking: "how do you get pink hair?"lau.gif

Anyone know if a Serama could open a treadle feeder?  I hate all of the sparrows messing around in our run he.gif, but I think the Seramas are probably too light.  Elivis is a little over a pound, so he could maybe do it, but the girls are more like 3/4 of a pound or so.  What do you guys think?  Is it worth getting one from Western Ranchman and trying it?  Could I change it so it will open easier, like maybe put some kind of 1/2 pound weight on the step, so the Seramas plus the weight would be enough to trigger it?  Ideas?

One awesome hubby and son (6 1/2 yrs old) ... 2 chihuahuas, 1 lab, 1 bengal cat, 1 brown headed parrot, fish, 3 russian tortoises, 2 Crested Geckos, and ... 7 sweet big chickens (1 RIR, 1 BO, 1 SLW, 1CM, 1 Austraulorp hen, 1 Blue Ameraucana hen, 1 silkie hen, 5 super cute older Seramas and cute chicks

We are using a counter weight for the chicks to be able to use our.

My cat (Onyxia) loves to be in the yard with our chickens. She likes to stalk them but never does anything about it considering they are nearly as big as her! But as she wanders about the yard, she often nearly steps in chicken poop. What does she do? She buries it! gig.gifSo now she spends much of her day stalking chickens and burying their poop along the way. HAHAHA!!! I love my cats so much! lau.gif

Do you have a picture so I can see where you have the counter weight placed?

Thanks!!!
