Arizona Chickens - Page 2623

Early i did rise to the sound of a small body slamming up against the wire in the run/coop.  I've a piece of 4' tall separating the big girls from the adolescents.  One of the wee ones (yes a spitz) got under the wire and was being mauled by one of the big girls.  Tore the skin off the back of her head.

Very yucky.  sickbyc.gif

Cleaned it out and sprayed with blu-kote and hope for the best.

Looking foward to a chicken day with Pastrymama and Memphis!

Geeze, I am having trouble with raising the humidity in my incubator. With all the extra water and sponges I still can't get it up more that 47%. I guess it is because it is so dry outside. I wonder if anyone ever put a damp towel over the eggs?
