I love the fencing you have done. Looks great and it sure looks like nothing can push through it. Nice and sturdy!!

I truly love our flock mistress. Every time your on, I learn something new. Were you a teacher at one point? You explain things, so that us normal newbies to the breed, understand it. I love that! I follow all of your posts.  I'm always anxious to see what you say next.

With all due respect.

Tonya

Yeah well, when the Control Tower don't like the poop on the patio, you have to reduce the range of the flock.

Lotta love - no poop!

Not the totally cool iridescent blue of the silkies (hopefully not yet  fl.gif )...

but blue nonetheless.

I let them out (unsupervised) for the first time today.  All was well.

I hope to get to the drug store for iron-less pedia vitamins for Flopsy tomorrow.

Did anyone see this the last time?  Or this time?

My production red has a new name.

Her name is Meow!

She sounds broody!

That silly Production Red has been broody for a week now.

I am with the Control Tower about the patio. The baby gates we have are not doing the job anymore. They either fly over them or roost and then jump. Looking for something that will be tall enough to discourage them and esthetically pleasing.

This isn't much to do with chickens, but there is a chicken in the photo. Today was my grandson's 1st birthday party. Grand-Mama Hen Chris was delegated to make a cake and 4 dozen cupcakes. I autographed the cake by making a little fondant chicken and setting it in the corner. And when Cooper saw his cake, the first thing he did was grab the chicken! Good Boy!! He loves grandma's bok-boks.

No, I don't know if she is consistent enough.  She changes nest boxes ever couple of days.

The lack of top rail on these was Gallo's idea - & a good one at that.

We're trying to encourage them not to fly to the top, perch & then fly over.

I don't know how aesthetically pleasing these are but they're good enough for us.
