am I the only non-girly one around??

I'm a girly tom boy, if that's possible. Make up - every day. Perfume most days. Earrings all the time. Watch and rings if leaving the house. Have fun buying purses and shoes. Enjoy cooking some. Get my hair done (can't stand the gray) and keep polish on my toes. Like pretty clothes, but usually have on jeans.

My nails are ugly. I gave up on manicures as I spend too much time with my horses and cleaning up - the house, the dogs, the barn, the chickens, etc. I do love to fish and ride my horses. I'd rather be outside than at the mall. I have a Durango, but my dream "car" might just be a Ford Super Duty...as then I could have my dream horse trailer - a 3 horse slant with living quarters.

Love to watch football. Went to a hockey game and have to say I loved it too. But, I can enjoy some opera too.

Maybe the contrasts are how I drive my hubby crazy?!?!

I haven't ever been a girly-girl! I have only been fishing twice and haven't ever caught one, hopefully it will change soon! I have cleaned them though. Haven't gone hunting as yet but hope to soon. I own many guns and one of my favorite things is to go shooting. I partner up with DH for 1,000 yd. target matches with his .50BMG. It is some of the most fun I have ever had!!

I do love to take HOT bubble baths, it eases my muscles after a hard days work. Don't wear make-up, ever.
I do love to wear sundresses and long dresses and skirts. They are comfortable and cool to work in. Years ago I went to a thrift store and shopped for "work" dresses. I haven't ever owned heels. I used to be barefoot ALL the time, in fact one girl I babysat asked once if I came from some country where they didn't wear shoes, as she hadn't ever saw shoes on my feet in three yrs!! When my now DH moved in he made a rule that if I went into the garage I HAD to have shoes on. He welded and also was rebuilding a jeep, he didn't want me to get anything in my feet. Now I always have to wear shoes outside as our ranch it is definitley(sp) needed.

My exH would do nothing around the house, so I fixed everything. DH is a contractor so he won't let me do anything even though he knows that I can. I hope that when we build the new coop/run this spring he will let me help. We(including DGD) go up the road into the forest to get our firewood, DH cuts it, we roll it into the trailer, when home I cut the branches with my chainsaw and sawbuck while he uses the woodsplitere(He hasn't taught me as yet).
I don't have many women friends, we have nothing in common. I don't like shopping or "chickflicks". Guys don't backstab. I have ALWAYS hung out with the guys. I could always drink them under the table and WAY out cuss them!
I don't whine and complain, if I get hurt I staunch the blood flow and go on about my business.
I don't do as many activities as I used to because of my bad ankle, back and neck. But to a degree I do anything I want. We are just starting our ranch, but I can't wait to muck stalls etc.
DGD is just like me she has been begging DH to take her hunting for three yrs. In the no fun state(CA) she can't hunt until she is 12 she is only 9 now. Her mother was one of the most girly-girls I have ever seen, I always thought that was a main reason we didn't get along well.

I love to work on cars, ride dirt bikes and harleys. I am one of the best cooks and bakers I have ever known! I love to do many crafts and sew also.

I need to join also! I have alway found men more fun than most women I know. It drives my mil crazy because I will not sit in the living room and gossip about everyone with the rest of the women in the family. I would rather be working in my garden, working my honeybees or in orchard/vineyard working--than gossiping. I was told that my mil tells people that I 'work just like a man' on our farm--I think it's a great compliment (even though that's not how she means it)! I do get my hair done every 6months, I wear work boots and jeans, I throw my hair up in a clip BUT my toenails are ALWAYS painted pretty colors! First time my best friend saw me with no toenail polish she ashed if I had been depressed!

Could be, Reinbeau! It looks like we have a pretty large family according to this post.

I find it 'funny' that when I was growing up most boys/men looked for women that were 'girly-girls' now I have daughters (30ish) play sports, very active/competitive with their career as well as everything they do and love sports/games/hiking and outdoors and the men love them! The girls went in together and purchased a 20' boat so they can play on the water--how cool is that..but no they can't beat the bull riding thing.
