Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum! My names ema-leigh, I'm 20 years old and currently living in British Columbia, Canada. When I was younger my dad had ten hens and they were all so sweet and friendly. I loved watching them, and feeding them. And I LOVED fresh eggs for breakfast. Ever since Ive always wanted to have my own small flock. Ive been trying to gather info from the internet so I can give them the best care possible and be prepared, I really dont know that much about them. So Im here to learn and meet like minded people 
My other passion is rats, they are the most wonderful pets. They live in two huge 6ft enclosures split male and female, and I have approx two litters a year. I also take in rescue rats, you would be suprised how many petstores sell pregnant females... buy one get twenty free lol!
I am a partime horse trainer, and a part time dog training. Together that equals a full time job 
I am engaged to a wonderful fiance of two years, and we think were (almost) ready for some baby chicks
