For Dual Purpose brown egg layers they list Browns.  They say they are simuliar to R&R's but they are much smaller.  Does anyone know anything about Sunnyside or the Browns?
Thanks Ron

I had gotten some "Browns" 3 years ago and I would never buy them again. I had gotten the roosters for butchering - but I mean to tell you that I have never had such mean chickens in my life and I am almost 66 years old!! They were very dominant chickens and they definitely had their pecking order and their guards.  I put out feed for them and the chiefs of the bunch would guard the dish and the lesser on their pecking order woul literally almost steal the feed in order to get anything to eat!! I free ranged them also and the guards never left their duty and would run off the "lesser" of the chickens.  And talk beat each other up - it was bad - and they were outside int he daytime and still pound each other up!! Never again woud I ever want the "browns" - far too mean all the way around.

I mean to tell you that I am a chicken lover from the git - go, but I don't ever want another bunch of browns - EVER! My favorites are the  black sex links, the barred rocks, and the rhode island reds which make excellent soup!!
