i would put an order in, but my hours are down too because of medical issues...  so i swap and hatch anything i can fit in the incubator. and breaking down and fixing my other one, since i am out of room in the other 3. LOL

Welcome to the Zoo!  2 Morgans, 2 Minis, 1 Standard Poodle, 3 cats, 3 pet birds and the chickens.

Dorkings and bantam Cochins mostly, with a few others here and there.

And of course, my wonderful Hubby, who puts up with me and keeps me in check when I start to get crazy.

I need to really sell eggs now to help pay for their feed. At least I am on summer break and I still get a check through August.

Sorry about the job. Sounds like you are a teacher. We have a Vo-Ag position available here in southeast Arkansas.

jumpy.gif Your prayers are appreciated! The divorce was granted. yippiechickie.gif

I will be on/off BYC. If we owe you hatching eggs, please forward us the listing information. We are almost caught up on them and do not wish to miss anyone. Geese are now laying!

 mine on the Ameraucana.

Offer: 6+ Of any of the following:

White French Production Muscovy
This is a French improved breeding stock that produces birds 50% larger than our American Muscovy. Very quiet and calm, lay lots of nice big eggs Feb-Nov (then tend to go broody for winter), excellent foragers. Wonderful personalities for pets: boys are super sweethearts; girls are docile... also the best broodies & mamas! (35 day incubation). For meat production, drakes usually attain a live weight of 12 pounds in 12 weeks. My typical dressed weights: Hens 3.5- 4.5 lb. and drakes 8 - 10 lb. (most dress at 9 lbs). High in meat-to-bone ratio, with less weight loss after cooking than Pekin ducks. (I have 9 multigenerational girls covered by 2 drakes; mama's regularly hatch out 12-18 babies!)

Silver Duckwing & White Phoenix Chickens

The Phoenix is an ancient Japanese breed of chicken tracing its heritage back over a thousand years!  Beautiful ornamental birds, these are a medium sized (roosters weigh about 4lbs) with tails that can reach 4-5 feet in length.

BANTAMS:

BUFF. Nicole calls our Buff Orpington Bantams BOBs. They are from several sources; however all acquired theirs from the Brazelton Line. We have won Best of Breed numerous times. At Crossroads 2011 Joint National we placed 4th.

BLACK/BLUE/SPLASH

Blue/Splash. We acquired these from Dick Hortsman. They have placed Best of Variety several times.

Our Splash male is from Superior Farms.

LARGE FOWL:

BUFF. Our Buffs came from Superior Farms. They are Britt, Bacon, Clevenger and Brazelton lines. We have added some from Diamond T (TX) and a daughter of the General from Hincjc Mountain (PA).

For comparison, here is an American Hatchery Buff Orpington male.

BLACK. Our Black Orpingtons are pure Cecil Moore line. These came from the Superior Farms sellout. We are extremely pleased with their quality and size.

BLUE. Our Blue Orpingtons are a composite of several lines. We acquired them from a friend. We are now using the our Blacks to improve size and type. We have two pens set up. Pen #1 has a Black male with a Blue female. Pen #2 has a Blue male with a Black female. Our choice on hatching eggs sent from these pens.

SELF BLUE. Our Self Blue projects. Not APA accepted yet. We crossed a Hincjc Self Blue male to our Cecil Moore line Black hens. We will be mating their offspring Splits this season. We showed these as Blacks at a small 200 bird show this fall and won Reserve Champion Large Fowl and Best and Reserve Variety. We lost the show to our own Buff Orpington hen. These Splits won over their own mothers and a Cecil Moore hatched Black Orpington male, their grandsire. We are very impressed with their type and quality.

WE WILL HAVE LIMITED HATCHING EGGS WITH OUR SELF BLUE.

Email for prices on the Self Blue.

Wyandottes

We have one lovely pair of Black Wyandotte Bantams.

Jacob (9) will be showing these this year.

We acquired this Cockerel from Jerry Foley at the Crossroads Joint National.

Pictured at Crossroads.  The Foleys acquired their Black Wyandotte Bantams from Master Breeder Art Lundgren.

Jacob has named this Cockerel "Little Jerry".

Our pullet is from the Mike Sayre line. (Parents pictured) Will try to get a photo soon.

Buff Wyandottes

Our Buff Wyandotte Bantam lines are from some of the oldest and best lines in the country. We have won Best of Variety and Reserve of Variety numerous times in Open Shows. We have had very little competition in the Buffs; however, we have rightfully been placed as Best of Variety and Reserve of Variety at the following shows:

2010 APA National – Shawnee, Oklahoma

2010 APA State Meet – Pine Bluff, Arkansas

2010 Arkansas State Fair – Little Rock, AR

2010 Drew County Fair – Monticello, AR

(200 bird show)

2nd Cock Crossroads Joint National 2011

Our male is from Lou Horton via Superior Farms

We have added a Tom Roebuck male.

Our females are from the Anderson line in IL

These are very gentle and easy to handle. Their color and type are excellent. We have checked the fertility and have some due to hatch soon.
