Chickens are drinking dog pee - is this bad?

So, this is a weird one. Recently, we noticed that when our Greyhound squats to pee, our 2 chickens run/fly toward her like she is the fountain of youth. Her pee settles into the dirt, but they make sure to drink some before it does. Anyone know if this is something I should be concerned about?
 
I wouldn't worry...chickens eat the weirdest things.

I'm sorry, but after all these years, I thought I had heard it all. Nope!

Your dog doesn't possibly have a health problem where she has a higher level of sugar in her urine, does she? That's the only thing I can think of, other than you just have weird chickens.
 
i am laughing cause after eating the dog pee your gonna eat the eggs lol. sorry it is funny. i wonder if it has the dog vitamins from her food in it? salt maybe?

What are you feeding them?
That is really gross, but makes me wonder if it's just chickens being chickens or if they're trying to get some mineral or vitamin that they need by drinking the dog urine....
 
Told you this was a strange one! I did check to make sure they have water, and they've got plenty and it's nice and clean. They are a little bit over 3 months old so they are still getting chick start and grow. They also get all sorts of veggie treats and yogurt.

The greyhound is prone to urinary tract infections, so she is on some medicine to help prevent that... I'm not sure if that is something that makes her pee seem yummy to them for some reason!

And yes, the idea of eating their eggs after they have been drinking dog pee
