I'm in SE Wisconsin.
Now breeding Mille Fleur D'Uccles out of my lone pair. I'll have Porcelains available next year.

I've had my MF d'Uccles for over 2 years now.

The roo won BoV in an ABA sanctioned show as a cockeral in 2008, as well as winning 1st place in all 3 ABA sanctioned shows he was in 2008, and 2009. The Mille Fleur are NOT hatchery birds, very slow to mature and very sweet disposition. Got them from a BYC member in March 2008.

I have 3 hens at the moment, with pullets 'waiting in the wings". They have consistently won 1st or 2nd place in their variety 2008 & 2009. Here are a couple of photos.

I have a quad of Lavender d'Uccles as well. Although they won for their variety 1n 2009 they had little competition. I am not satisfied with the wattles on the rooster and am planning to breed those out and improve these birds. They are a gorgeous color though and every chick has matured into the same even lavender.

I have a pair of starter birds that I am developing into Butterscotch d'Uccles. The chicks so far are a lovely buff and much more evenly colored than their parents (female is buff mottled, male is a strawish porcelain). I also have a pair of chicks from chickenzoo's buff d'Uccle project to add to them. Hers are a slightly darker gold than mine. My goal is to have as even a gold as possible, so that I have d'Uccles in silver & gold

I'm off to a good start, I believe.

I do sell hatching eggs, only on BYC and only when my bator and broodies are full. My eggs are very fertile, packed nicely (none broken yet) and some of my 'grandchicks' are as far away as AK.
I do sell chicks, but only locally (no shipping). I will sell most of the SQ chicks in September at the TN Valley fair show or the fall Cocke Co show.
Do you have any birds you are selling right now?

A different breed, but what I did was I would look up the results for the big poultry shows. Look up the top winners in each breed and contact them directly. Most times they replied. None would sell me chicks but they did sell me fertile eggs. Most ended up stunning. Most ended up boys of course. (I have heard that some show breeders will sell you eggs from their lower quality stock, but still!) I recommend giving that a shot. I was looking for that breed as well this month. Got bamboozled by a local breeder, but anyway... I recently also found Facebook specific pages by breed and started asking there. Good luck!
