I was all excited to go out and do chores this evening, and smell my newly cleaned coop (we were doing the deep bedding method, but this past week the ammonia smell really picked up,so we did a cleaning yesterday) We have a wheelchair ramp in the garage for my youngest son, and my two older boys were running their toys up and down the ramp, getting it wet...they were out in the garage while my husband was building "ICU" pens for my chickens.

I walk out onto the ramp carrying two calf milk bottles in my left arm, and a glass bowl (dummy me, my heaviest bowl) with treats for my chickens. Of course I slip, and somehow the bowl came up, and then smashed into my finger, it didn't break oddly enough, but according to the Dr. at Acute Care, my ring finger does have a fracture

Oh man! I am so sorry! One time my finger got slammed in the car door. That hurt so bad!!! Something that's weird is that if I have my hand flat on a table, the finger that got smashed won't go all the way down. You can push it down put it just pops right back up. Wierd. I hope that your finger gets better soon!

sorry you got hurt, but glad the glass didn't break it could have caused more injuries. heal quickly brahamamama.

there are strips or you can get in rolls that are made for surfaces to make it nonslip can't remember what it's called tho, works real well.

Ilovemychickies, I have sort of the same thing with a big toe; years ago was riding my horse on wet grass, and she fell, and smashed my foot into the ground. I'm pretty sure it was broke-never went to Dr because they wouldn't have done anything anyway...now that toe doesn't bend as far as the other one, lol!

Wildsky, oh it was terrible at first...enough to make me cry. You'd think after going through childbirth, I could handle a little pain, but man! Thanks for the concern

Thanks Redfeathers, I figured that, lol!

Now here's hoping the Vicodin starts working...it works for Dr. House
