Thank you Junebuggena, I am so curious about the two Bluesbut I cannot even guess about their adult color. I did kno know about the whites(born yellow chicks) but I love all my chicks no matter what color.

Funny My Uncle used to call me JuneBug.
 
Question: I have both blue & black copper marrans. I have a lovely rooster of each color. Since I should put my black male over my blue females should I also put my blue male over my black females? Does the blue gene work the same either way?

Yes, the Blue/Black/Splash gene works the same way regardless of gender. It is not a sexlinked gene.

Thank you. That's very helpful. Someone sent me that chart before without any context as to what the colors meant. It was a general breeding question. So now in context it makes sense.
 
Im new to the world of Marans and I'm very interested I bought some Black Copper, Blue, and Splash Marans. They are about 6 weeks old. I noticed when I was worming they have deformed feet and green instead of orange eyes. Suggestions?
 
Are wheaton Marans considered as a splash or is it its own color/genetics? I'm referring to the blue/black/splash genetics breeding chart. Trying to figure out how or where the wheaton comes into play. Please let me know because I have 2 wheaton babies. Along with blue and black.
