frizzled guineas?????

Don't they look frizzled to you? If not, what is making their feathers flip up like that? My last guineas didn't look like that.
They're 3 weeks old.

Frizzled guinea crosses. They'll be sterile I believe, but too stinkin cute!

Are they from your guineas? Could they have crossed with something? Whatever the case I want one!!! They are just too darn cute! love

What are you feeding them? Sometimes if they are not getting enough protein it will cause their feathers to grow funny.

It could be a protein issue, but look at those feet. I have never seen feet so yellow on guineas or at least not solid yellow. The necks look longer too. That's why I still think they are crosses.

I got these from my local feed store. The sign just said Guineas. They're on Purina medicated chick starter. My last guineas did just fine with it. All of my birds are healthy.

The first thing I noticed was their longest wing feathers stuck out oddly at about a week old. You can see the feathers that poke downward on the left keet. They do that on both of them. Then, at about 3 weeks old, they started frizzling. I'll have to get on my other computer to post a picture.

I'll keep posting their progress. They're sure acting like guineas, they're the freakiest ones in the brooder (with 17 4-week old chicks).
