*sigh*  I wish I had Lav Orpies :-)
If I had my way that's all I would have in my yard, I love Orpies and that lav color makes my heart smile!

Beautiful babies Ladies, just beautiful!

this thread is killing me!! i recently found eggs for sale of this breed semi-locally (very hard to come by here in canada) but i simply cant afford the $12.50/egg right now sad and then there would be trying to find someone else who has them and is willing to ship eggs so i have 2 unrelated lines to mix, just not in the cards this year, im working on building up my BLRW breeding flocks for next year (hatching eggs and growing chicks this year), they were costly enough!! though not so much as the lav orps.  *sugh* maybe next year (looks wistfully at birds pictured).

ETA: i went a bit of my rocker, and ordered some Lav Orp eggs after all lolroll

droolin These chickens are gorgoeous!!! I'm drooling right now all over my math test!!!! Ooooooooopsss!!!!! Oh well. tongue

But I'm concentrating on breeding the best RIR's that are good egg layers, show winners, look great, and are really sweet. Not biting or anything.

"Breeding Quality Rhode Island Red's and Black Sexlinks"
Mother to 19 chickens, 1 dog and 1 cat.

Getting 1 to 3 eggs from my girls! Cannot wait to get off those nasty store eggs.

I just have a random question...why not make Lavender Australorps...some of the birds I've seen on here are fairly close to Australorps.

Breeder of: Show Quality Blue and Black Langshans in both Largefowl and Bantam!
