Parrot Hatching Eggs?

There is nothing wrong with breeding. Some people don't want a problem bird. Yes not every bird is a problem bird but not everyone wants a bird with baggage or previously owned. That said, I would definitely not breed or incubate your own. It requires a lot of experience, especially handfeeding, and you could easily kill a bird. And like was mentioned, you can bond just as easily buying a baby, young bird, or even adult from somewhere else or rescuing one if you don't mind rescuing. Do what works best for YOU, not someone else's ideals. That said, don't rush into anything either and I will say I will agree breeding your own is kind of stupid, it requires tons of experience and without it you could easily hurt or kill the birds. And what do you plan on doing with the extra chicks? It can be hard to sell them. And many breeders may not even sell eggs to inexperienced people or other breeders. Don't rush into buying an adult either. I urge you to take your time researching all the breeds you are interested in. Conures are LOUD. Rushing into things or only getting a bird because it is "pretty" is exactly why there are so many homeless birds in the world.

All of that said, this post was originally from 2008.....

I am sure OP has already either bred their own, bought or rescued a bird, or never got a bird.

It was 9 years ago after all...

Which, btw, gee, 2008 was 9 years ago already!? I feel old haha

OP please update us on what you ended up doing
