Okay, I will post these here, hopefully it's okay. hide

I have 3 Canada goslings for sale, about a month old. I do not have a permit for these, I bought them at the local auction and was told by the seller that he didn't know for sure what breed they were.....yeah right.

I do not have, nor do I want, a permit to keep these, so they have to go. They are not yet pinioned, I know how it's done, but never having done it myself, I would rather not. Asking $10 each on them, I think there are 2 males and 1 female, but I could be wrong since I have not vent sexed these yet, I'm just going by the size differences right now.

I will be taking them to Sano this Friday if anyone wants to meet me there to get them.

I will also have quite a few rouen ducklings, and a few blue cayuga mixes and some pure pekins.

ETA: The baby in my avatar is one of them, silly me thought they were Africans since they had black bills and feet hmm

Anyone in the KY greater Commonwealth interested in some Barred/White Rock hybrids?

My 8 y.o. DS and I wanted to see how "fertile" our Roo (The BR) and the two Hens *Both WR* were, so we collected eggs....18.

6 were never fertile. 1 died before hatching.
2 were given to a co-worker.

And that leaves me with 9 little fuzzy butts. One week old tomorrow.

But....

We are in the process of moving, and I have an order from McMurray coming in in late June to the new address.
So, if you don't mind working around my work schedule, and live relatively close to Louisville...
You can have them.

PM me if you're interested, and we will see if we can work something out.

I'd like to swap them for a pekin duck (or maybe a runner duck), but won't get my hopes up.

Just to let everyone know, I'll be at Sano tomorrow with the canada goslings and some rouen ducklings. I have a few mixed ducklings as well, 2 actually. They are from my blue cayuga duck...one looks like a blue cayuga, so could be from the black cayuga mixed drake that is in her group. The other blue one looks like a rouen, but it's blue. That one is interesting, if baby ducks didn't stink so bad I'd probably keep it lol

As always, I'm on the lookout for goslings. I would prefer embdens since that's what my adult geese are, but I'm open to anything right now smile

I have 3 young EE cockerels available. They are approximately 8-9 weeks old. I was hoping at least one was a pullet, but unfortunately not. sad I'll probably keep one of them, though I'm not sure which. All 3 have pea combs and muffs/beards, one is red with black markings (almost like lacing on the feathers), another is red, black, and yellow, very pretty that one. The last is white with red on his back, I think this is the one I'll probably keep, though I'm not sure I'll keep any at this point. This one has such full muffs and beard that he can't hardly see to eat lol

I also have a young embden gander looking for a new home. He'll be 1 year old the middle of June. Hopefully, a new home will make him act like a goose. Right now he is the outcast in my goose flock, he bites the others when they get too close. Downfall of being a singleton I guess hmm

I have tons of broody hens right now, so I'll have plenty of mixed LF and bantam chicks available in the next few weeks. I also have a few guinea eggs hatching, I believe there are 7 eggs in the hatcher? They should be lavender, pearl, and buff, but we'll see what comes out smile

Asking $5 each on the EE cockerels, $10 on the gander, $1 each on chicks, and $4 each on guineas.

I'll be hatching coturnix quail in a few weeks (setting eggs as soon as the guineas and pheasants are done hatching), those are $.50 each as day-olds.

Two questions:  where is Edmonton, and are any of you in further western Kentucky?

Momma loves her babies!  8 cats, 45 inside birds, 3 guineas,  RIRs, BRs,  BOs ,  Lorpie girls, Golden Comets, OEGB  BBreds, bantam frizzle cochins,  3 white Silkies, EEs, some silkie/cochin mixes, silkie/frizzles, ducks (3 white Pekins, 1 buff Saxony & 1 Silver Appleyard), and 1 Blue Slate turkey who thinks she's a chicken...   (did I miss anyone?...)  Nope!  Now let's all have pie.

I would love to have a couple... a black, blue and splash.  I am North of Lexington.  If you are interested in getting rid of the babies, we are having a swap in Sadieville next Sunday and we have had many inquiries about silkies.  If you are interested in coming up for the swap, the thread is in this forum.

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well-preserved body. but rather, to skid in sideways, totally worn out and exhausted while shouting loudly "WOW! What a ride!"
