APA 2010 National: Show Results updated in post #1

Not sure what you mean.

After our discussions last week about leg color I made it a point to check out all of the Welsummers legs at the show.
All had yellow legs but the top hen had the lightest legs of all of the Welsummers there.
I guess they were what you call bleached yellow but they were sure much paler than the others.
Not sure what it means but just something I noticed.

It could be that she was laying.

Did one of them have a pale earlobe or something of that nature?

I know that the roo had best of breed, if I remember right...........didn't like his comb. It was too different than the other rooster.

Mrs. Turbo :

we have the lights on our breeding pens and have eggs in the bator so we will be ready for the Crossroads show in fall 2011. We are hatching early for us this year and will sell the rest come early spring so we can pay the feed bill and fund the shows, but we still seem to come up short.

It is all about the fun of showing and breeding anyways right?

Are you hatching Calls already, Mrs. Turbo?

no....just chickens. We don't put lights on the call ducks, but with them being in the barn near the chicken pens that have lights, who knows.

This year's show is not a National, but it is a good show!
