I want to encourage breeders to become N.P.I.P. certified.

People in my area are isolated. We have no *Craigs List* and trying to get NPIP certification in this state is impossible. Supposedly the process was started and we could become certified. But no one responds to anyone's questions or requests. what little information that was put out included ridiculously expensive costs to get certified!! Then you add in that we are all very remote so paying the cost of someone to come and inspect is very expensive! And the only way to get decent birds is to ship them in, also expensive. I have secluded coops and runs with netting to prevent wild birds to come in and barrels in an enclosed shed to protect feed. I am a little upset by the lack of help from the state.
