I agree with you Wolf Queen, the wait is killing me! Have 4 bbs cochin, 4 frizzles, 2 bbs silkie, and 2 blrw in the bator due 5/25, have 10 definite wiggly embryo's ya  1 of the silkies and 1 of the cochin i think are duds.  But i can't tell you how nervous and excited i am, this is my second attempt, the first failed miserably barnie  I am having a hard time keeping my fingers off of them, i want them to hatch now!  The closer to lockdown i get the worse it gets!

Trying to make the most of life, and am enjoying it with my special man,  my awesome son, a shep/chow mix, 5 curious mousers, and multiple fuzzy butts, big & small!  Trying not to miss my 3 beautiful grandbabies who are now in Idaho.   Fav. Quotes: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!"   &   "Don't sweat the small stuff!!"

Needless to say, all the other eggs she was sitting on got put in the incu yesterday. I have 2 that are pipping this morning.

I still have one pip from the 5 silkies and 6 out of 9 from the quail. Actually these guys are early though because I usually set eggs right when I get home from school around 3:45pm MST so these guys arent due till later this evening. Sheesh the wait is still killing me. Aaaaahhhhhh!!! rant

I have 7 hatched so far and 4 more pips I have 4 giants, 1 leghorn,1cochin and 1 orp heres hoping the rest hatch. I had to take them out and put them in the brooder. This is the first time I put an egg flat in to hold the eggs. I like it but it doesnt leave much room when you have 7 babies popping around in there. They were starting to really move and stand up I was afraid they would touch the heater coil. I made sure the temps and humidity were high then quickly took them all out. The temp went down slightly , so did the humidity but it was back up within a minute or so.
