My dear yearling Ruby has some strange stuff happening. Her ear wattles are turning white speckeled, she has a growth at the base of her beak and has very strange things happening to the top of her head-it looks like she is growing more wattle type skin where she used to have feathers. She just finished a molt. I am not sure if she is laying. She is eating, drinking and pooping just fine. The growth on the beak is only on the outside. It seems warmish when touched. Anyone?

See that big bump at the back of the beak? Hard and warm to touch.

This is the red "comb" like skin now growing on the top of her head. Sorry hard to see. Looks just like the skin on her face, just fewer bumps and a pinker color

I have just finished looking at the pox stuff here, and it just doesn't seem to match up. Nothing in her throat, no other spots anywhere on her. It developed in about 4 days. It is almost like a blister, kinda squishy when you touch it.

in your picture there seems to be small wartish bumps also on her comb...whitish blotches here and there on wattle/comb also? am I seeing things?

Her comb is white swirled. There is no change in the texture from red to white. No raised areas, just loss of pigment.

We did have a very LONG, cold winter, and my ladies went out freely. I noticed a lot of them had some comb changes during this time.
She is the only one with white tho, but she is one of my smaller ones.
