Where does one begin to "Show" their Chickens?

I am interested in attending some Poultry shows with some of my chickens. I don't know where to start, does anyone have any suggestions?

Owned by: 2 Appaloosa's, 1 Great Dane, 1 Golden, 1 Lhasa Apso, 3 cats, 3 Silver Wyandotte's, 2 Barred Rocks, 1 White Rock, 4 Buff Orphingtons, 4 Polish Chickens, 4 Silkies, 10 Isa Browns, 35 RIR, 2 Light Brahmas, 2 Aracaunas and more eggs to hatch!!!!

Do You have show quality stock or hatchery stock? I would attend some shows first and learn from breeders and how they do it before you start. You also need a breed/breeding program you love enough to continue the line

Start by finding a local show and going to watch it.  Then you can decide if you really want to show. smile

I would start by getting the standard of perfection book. it will tell you all you need to know about the kind of chicken you want to show
