I agree, catholics are christians, the original ones.  We were all togather until Martin Luther, almost 500 years ago, started a protestant church, protesting the catholics of the time.

If you serve christ, no matter what church you attend, you are a christian.  We are all brothers and sisiters in Christ.

Is a nice person.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

This is more of a personal matter. Not all Catholics believe Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. Everyone identifies differently. This is a large issue with many Religions as well as LGBT.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Kevin is kind, and my BYC BB (at least a few more minutes)

Well, we talk all the time at our church about being Christians.  I've never met a caholic who didn't say they were.  No offense, I just don't actually agree here.

I am a catholic, and I work in a catholic school, and I'm a part of relig. ed.  We teach we are Christians, cause we are.

Aren't Christians anyone who believes in Christ? That was what I thought. I am not Catholic nor Christian, so I don't know for sure.
I won't be on much at all anymore. I'm WAY too busy with school and such. If you wish to contact me, PM me and I will reply as soon as I can.

Yes, anyone who accepts and believes the teachings of Christ.  I mean, if you go back, roman records proves his existance, but knowing he lived won't make you a christian.  It more an internal belief system that is supposed to be accompanied by  attempting to live your life like he, to immulate him, and serve.

Lots believe, but not so many follow.

(but Its ok with me that your beliefs are different hugs.gif )

Is really tactful when it comes to explaining this potentially explosive subject! clap.gif

I am a serious Catholic, and I consider myself Christian. Really, it's just a different style of worshipping and obeying Him than, say, the Baptists or Lutherans. People should be free to believe and worship whatever they wish.
