I Need Pictures of LADDER ROOSTS and What would you use?

Our coop is almost finished. I need to show the very capable handy man a picture of ladder roosts. I tried to find some, but I do not seem to be able to locate any and I have to get back to my work that I am getting paid for.

I remember that someone had the BRILLIANT idea of putting the roost on hinges so that it could be lifted and attached to the ceiling for easy cleaning underneath. Does anyone remember this or are you that person? I would really like to emulate that.

Also, I found this and am considering pilfering this idea, as well.

BTW, here is the coop so far, if that helps with your thoughts. I will be posting more pictures tonight. The shingles are being put on in a race with the rain.

This is what we built. And you are right, putting it on hinges would have helped a lot! I constantly bang my head when I clean it out or try to retrieve oopsie eggs or chickens. I know what you are talking about but you will have to search in the archives for it.
 
I read some of the responses but most were regarding the roosts themselves. My roosts seems fine my 6 chickens BUT they all sit on the very top and attempt to fly down (and out if the bottom hatch to their run is open. Some of them can make it but some fall short and just barely hit the bottom of the coop before they hit the wall

The chicks are 9 weeks old now and getting bigger by the second. One of chicks is a buff brahma and really struggles to get off the roost. I am thinking if I add an actual ladder somewhere that would help (?) I am totally open for ideas, suggestions. HELP.

I used 2x4s cut in half down the middle then cut the corners off to make them sort of 8-sided/rounded. Then I just screwed a board to each end and put some legs on so it stands up off of the floor. Then the whole thing is screwed to another board with some hinges on the wall so I can flip it up out of the way.
My guineas and chickens have been using it for about 7 years now. (The floor isn't quite that clean anymore.)

See my BYC page for pics of my setup-------built over 20 years ago with a pivoted roost suspended from the ceiling. I have a cable and pulley system run over to the door that is counterweighted so I can pull up the ladder roost easy.
