When will my hens start to lay again?

I just bought 3 hens from a guy who said they are 24 weeks old. They've been in the coop/run for a couple of days now. I understand from reading on here the shock of the move may stop production. How long does that usually last? I'm ready for some fresh eggs.

Is there anything I can or should do to get them to start laying again or do I just wait?
 
Is it a guy you trust??? Not to sound negative, but some folks will try to pass older hens off as younger to get rid of them. However, assuming that they ARE what he said, it really varies. If they have free choice layer feed available, fresh water, oyster shell, and are comfortable in their new home, it could be two weeks. I've read of chickens laying within a few days of being moved, and I've read of it taking almost a month. So I'm going with the average of two weeks...lol. Did he say whether they'd been laying for him??? Not all chickens lay by 24 weeks. Are their combs and wattles fairly red???
 
Last fall we moved our 8 pullets, 7 were laying at the time, to a larger coop we built. They were stressed, mainly at night and laying time since they were used to their old roost and nest boxes. However, only one stopped laying completely and went into a partial molt - she didn't lay for about 2 months. The others were laying normally after the first week.
