A few weeks ago we went to our breeder friends to get a couple black silkies and we picked up this chocolate silkie.  I have never seen one before and can't find anyone else that does!  I would like to find him a hen somewhere but noone has ANY! Anyway...here is our beautiful man! I tell my husband he has pretty hair than I do!

That roo is seriously beautiful! I'm not a big fan of silkies, but if I could get some with that coloring, I would seriously consider it!

Congrats on him!

Take a deep breath.........................you'll need it!

He is a very nice looking bird..

But he is not pure silkie..

Silkies have black skin, including wattles and comb.. And I believe they do not have white ear lobes..
He is not pure, but he is so good looking and unusual though..

Well I wouldnt have passed him up..

See if your breeder friend has any idea what mix he is. Maybe that way you can find a mate for him.. Maybe create your own breed. He is defiently different looking.. I like his comb..

Hope my other post didnt affend you any..
He really is a nice bird..

you need to post this in breeds/ genetic section....

The difference between pets and pests is only on which side of the fence they're standing... keep your animals in your own property.
