Raising quail? In florida.

Dug into that website and did find where you can have less than fifty without a license. So I am set. You have been a lot of help I did go buy that hygrometer thermometer thing the numbers are bigger. Will start making brooders out of the big buckets. I hope this works out. Any more good pointers? or do you have baby quail if I need to take a trip to Brooksville? Oh and I sexed all my quail today the brown one were easy. out of the five white ones I have 1 male. and the brown. 2 males and 7 females.

I am hoping that doesn't happen, the U.S mail can play kick boxing with packages (remember JJ

) I am hoping it all works out.

I wonder if they'd treat the boxes more nicely if we labeled them as containing "fecal matter for laboratory use" instead of eggs? Broken eggs, no big deal. Fecal matter spattered inside the mail truck would seem less pleasant...

Ahem. I suppose I'll get banned for being vulgar now.

I'm just afraid there would be a lot of lost packages as they got chucked out the window of a speeding mail truck.

I wonder how much we could insure those packages for.

Imagine the dialogue with the post office as you turned in a claim for that package.

Why have you gotten alot of broken eggs. My post office usually calls me when I get chickens this is the first time I got quail eggs. Oh and I called the florida fish and wildlife and you were right if I keep less than fifty I do not need a license.

Oh my mom was impressed. Cause I live in the city and I have a relatively small yard. So she was wondering how I had it set up. she liked it. The pig roams and the east side of my yard is for the chickens and the quail are on the south fence. Then all my exotic birds are on cages on the breezeway. Still do not know why the city wont allow goats?

Out of the sixteen eggs I had I had 5 left and two hatched today. My youngest daughter freaked. She kept hearing this little peep noise and couldn't figure out what it was and saw the two little babies. she scared me to death. I thought something had done died. It was a priceless moment.
