Fixing to start on a third and fourth coop. Chickens keep a comin !!

I just made one like yours, it's great,  looks like a giant caterpillar out there.....
 

1 Irish Setter (who can't love a dog that doesn't have to stretch to see what's on the dinner table), 1 Gordon Setter (i don't know anyone who can't love a gordon setter), 1 found Mutt (the best behaved dog ever), 50+ Chickens and  64 Lychee Trees.

Check out electrical pvc conduit. It comes with UV protection in the plastic. It also is available in the same sizes.

Electrical conduit pvc is expensive. all you have to do is the parts of the plain pvc that is exposed to sunlight, is spray paint it.

I think the expense might vary by supplier - I got 10' lengths of 1" conduit for $3.08, vs $3.22 for normal pvc. Check around.

If you use ten foot joints and put two together they do not bend good. They have a tendency to come apart

I had that problem with one hoop due to the cold snap we've been having. After one broke, I discovered using a hair dryer to blow hot air through the pipe makes it bend a lot easier. I'm also gluing the joints, so your choice of glue may also make a difference.

Here is a pic of my copy!  There is a hot wire attached to the coop

that moves with it when i move it.

Great the only thiing about using a tarp is that it will blow ariund like crazy. I like ti use a shade cloth cause it can breathe with the wind
