Well..I tried a few times to get some answers on here as to why my 4-5 week old turkey is losing the ability to walk, got very few answers, and thank you so much to all of you who respnded, it was really appreciated. No one really seems to know/understand or be able to tell me why my royal palm turkey has weekend legs, and is getting progessively worse. I have started it on hard boiled eggs, and the poly childrens vitamins so we will see how that goes as well. Luckily I am a student at the University of Florida and have tons of access to Dr.'s and scientist. I manage to track down the "poultry guru" at UF and he is going to look at my birds tomorrow and tell me what might be wrong with the one poult. OR at least I hope so lol. I am also hoping he may be able to sex my turkeys for me as well

I will keep you all posted as to how things go, thanks again for any help that was put forward.

Wish you and your poult the best. It is so very hard to accurately dx many illnesses/conditions. Without proper diagnostic tools it is too often a crap shoot. We had a huge chondrosarcoma surgically removed from the lower left beak of our Royal tom, but spent a month hunting down doc that was willing to perform the procedure.

Good luck!

Thanks guys, I will let you know later on today when I get home the outcome of all of this.

Yes, it is Dr. Butcher...what a horrible name I thought lol but he seems super nice! Cant wait to meet him

It is great that you found someone to look at your bird. I hope it goes well and the situation turns out to be treatable.
