Are you sure she isn't mixed then?  They don't have any separate characteristics at all and are exactly the same down to the combs color, growth, and shape.  Both of their legs are a grey/blue color as all the pictured sebrights.  They are feathering at the same rate.  The laced one has the same tail growth as well, I just don't have a picture in that group with it up, just the one where he is relaxed and it's practically nonexistent lol.  The only difference I've noticed is that she is very poorly laced, but other than that they have the same colors.  I've seen a couple pictures online of very poorly laced (or no real lacing) in gold sebrights.  They also share the same nervous personalities and are very protective over each other (of course maybe they just know they came from the same bin hehe).  I feel pretty confident that she is at least a mix.  But again, second opinions or comparisons are welcomed.  =)

I have seen a couple other breeds with similar patterning though. . .  yet I can't match any other characteristics between the 2.

The lighter colored one is definitely a cockerel. The other one is possibly a cockerel also, but you will know for sure in a couple weeks.

Something to keep in mind everyone: most of these birds are coming from hatcheries, so the quality is going to vary greatly. Not everyone bird is going to have great lacing, correct comb, etc. nor will they be guaranteed hen-feathered and proper type. Leave room for discrepencies. It's okay to question whether or not it's even a Sebright, but remember the possibilities.

It's good to see this thread getting some attention.

They are both Sebrights by the look of things, just one of them has very smutty feathering instead of good lacing, this can lessen as it gets older til you end up with a Sebright that just has a lot of black to it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it stays smutty. Only time and a first moult will tell.

Here is a not so good photo of my silver Sebright.  I had 3 chicks originally (leftovers at a feedstore) and one was ill, so I lost that one.  Then one day, I couldn't find one of them.  I had them in with an Orp that had just hatched some chicks, and I knew the chicks could not get out of the cage.  I finally picked up the mom and one of the Sebrights was literally hung in her underfeathers. Poor thing, I have no idea how he got knotted up in there.  Anyway, so I'm down to one that is in with a pen of 11 other chicks, 1/2 bantam, 1/2 full-sized.  I haven't noticed any attitude other than liking to ride around on the hen's back.  My D'Uccle seems to have tons more attitude.

I've had a chick get tangled in the hen's feather before.  It was such a surprise!
