Is it time for molting already? My Lutino is feathering my apartment with her own traits! Not that I mind it, it's just a bit more dusting and vacuuming now and then.

You can save the really nice wing and tail feathers and maky funky dangly earrings.

I have a pair made from my Green Cheek Conure's shed tail feathers, I love the bright turquoise!
I just grouped a few feathers together and sealed the roots together with some epoxy and a wooden kebab tool. I attached them to some French hooks, wrapped the root of the bundle in pretty silver wire, and there ya go.

I can't wear earrings...I had them pierced but they kept growing back and would get infected. (I followed the instructions to a T). Now, when I wear earrings, they get infected within a few hours and a "hot" spot with scar tissue has to be...um...pushed out like a really bad zit.

Now wasn't that a fun visual?

I'll see if I can take pics. It's odd...her cere is starting to turn, I think, into a brown color indicating she's preparing for breeding, but molting and breeding don't exactly go hand in hand...

She is hitting adult hood!

I have 2 budgies, both are molting right now, add that to the Parrot molting and OMG its like a feather pillow has been broken lol
