I have 36 eggs in my LG right now and I have an empty 1602 bator and also 2 LGs that I won on eBay that should be arriving soon. MY problem is that my oldest girls are only 8 weeks and far from laying so I'm suffering from a fertile egg shortage..

If I can get you an IB hen I want to be on the list for a few eggs in the future..lol!

OMG! That would make my whole year celebrate You got it! that is definately a deal!!! thumbsup

PS that's a lot of eggs and incubators lol

Yep, found a local with some hatching eggs on craigslist right after I bought my LG from TS. Then I found the 1602 listed on CL for $10 so I could not pass that up, then DW found 2 LGs with fans and turners for $80 on ebay, shipping included...won the auction and they are coming soon!

My local co-op rep. has been bugging me to start a small hatchery! Thinking I should follow his lead since he keeps pointing me in the right direction for what I put in the ground. He got us to switch half of our tobacco to hops last year. We qualified for a subsidy and after the hops harvest last Sept., made almost twice as much as we would have with just tobacco. This year we cut back tobacco again and have cabbage and habenero peppers along with the hops.

Great idea ! Anyone want to bring me some FBCM eggs to southeastern Minnesota?  I just got my first bator today ! Now I'm nervous about shipped eggs after reading about the PO scare. I have a disability so can't offer to do this train myself. It sure sounds good though and hope it works.

Does anyone know if you can fly with eggs? Like in your carry-on? I'm flying from WA State to Connecticut/Mass next week, and was thinking about something like this before I saw the post! Has anyone tried to get the eggs through security without being x-rayed? Did it work?

I used to request "hand inspections" all the time when I was travelling with 35mm film....not sure if the TSA still allows it though
