Howdy from Texas

Thread Starter

Hi ! My family have just started raising chickens back in Feb. We have 25 B. Rocks. We started with so many 'cause we thought we would loose a few, but we didn't. We have several people who plan on starting coops of their own and will be taking some of our girls. We hope to add a few fancy chickens, and some broilers in the near future. Have enjoyed reading the forum for several weeks. We have 3 kids, 1 dog, 1 cat, 2 kittens, 1 bird, 1 frog, a 300 gallon saltwater aquarium, and 25 teenage chickens.

Hello from IN! I'm new here too. My coop isn't built yet, so my chickens are hanging out with my parents' flock for the time being. I have 2 RIRs. My family has been raising chickens just about as long as I can remember, but I'm in town now and just starting with urban chickens. I can't wait to move back out to a farm someday. Have family and friends in TX, must say I miss the weather there most in the Spring. Hope you enjoy BYC!
