At first I was happy that we got new neighbors, because the old ones would rev their trucks at all hours of the day (and night) and were just pretty rude people.
Well now my new neighbors have kid's have gotten really annoying. Two 7 year old boys mixed family, not twins) and a girl who'd probably 10 are constantly standing at my fence which is almost 6 feet in on my property. Asking if they can come over...I guess to play with DD's toys, but gee whiz I'm not a baby sitter and don't need some kids under foot while I'm dealing with animals.
It seems like every day I tell them to stay off my fence, that the line is on the other side of the trees. I've told their "mother" (I guess step mom to some of them) several times where the property line is. Their parents either don't care or just have no idea what their kids are doing. They climb in the trees on the line which I didn't mind, but then they started taking off branches and pounding boards into it!
Today they were out there with a shovel pounding on my fence post so I yell at the door at them to quit it and remind them that the property line is on the other side of the trees. So they go off. 10 minutes later they are back this time digging out my fencing! So I yell at them and they tell me "we're digging out sticks" and I tell them that they're my sticks and to get out of here!
It's going to fun when I'm actually using that fence this spring ....5 strand electric that'll knock a grown cow on it's butt! Maybe that's what they need to learn though, cause it's obvious their parents don't really pay attention.
The kids come over in to my yard to play with DD's toys (DH will let them in and I won't...just what we need some kid getting hurt by one of our animals) and their parents don't ever check on them. In fact their parents haven't really said anything to us. We could be kidnappers or child molesters, which we're not, but you get the point.
GRRRRR!!! Thanks for letting me rant.
