At first I was happy that we got new neighbors, because the old ones would rev their trucks at all hours of the day (and night) and were just pretty rude people.

Well now my new neighbors have kid's have gotten really annoying. Two 7 year old boys mixed family, not twins) and a girl who'd probably 10 are constantly standing at my fence which is almost 6 feet in on my property. Asking if they can come over...I guess to play with DD's toys, but gee whiz I'm not a baby sitter and don't need some kids under foot while I'm dealing with animals.

It seems like every day I tell them to stay off my fence, that the line is on the other side of the trees. I've told their "mother" (I guess step mom to some of them) several times where the property line is. Their parents either don't care or just have no idea what their kids are doing. They climb in the trees on the line which I didn't mind, but then they started taking off branches and pounding boards into it!

Today they were out there with a shovel pounding on my fence post so I yell at the door at them to quit it and remind them that the property line is on the other side of the trees. So they go off. 10 minutes later they are back this time digging out my fencing! So I yell at them and they tell me "we're digging out sticks" and I tell them that they're my sticks and to get out of here!

It's going to fun when I'm actually using that fence this spring ....5 strand electric that'll knock a grown cow on it's butt! Maybe that's what they need to learn though, cause it's obvious their parents don't really pay attention.

The kids come over in to my yard to play with DD's toys (DH will let them in and I won't...just what we need some kid getting hurt by one of our animals) and their parents don't ever check on them. In fact their parents haven't really said anything to us. We could be kidnappers or child molesters, which we're not, but you get the point.

GRRRRR!!! Thanks for letting me rant.

Don't give in, stick to your guns. Call the police and file a complaint. I have had our neighbor kids over sledding in the snow. Well the hill is in the middle of the woods. I kept telling them to go home and not to return. I also told the parents that they were not welcomed on my property and to keep them away. Well they just kept coming back. So I had to call the police and that didn't stop them. We just kept calling the police and the police would take them home and talk to their parents. When that wasn't working the police call the department of children and families on them. Then the neighbor blamed me for their problems because they were charge with neglect.

Well,

If the parents arent listening to you now, they never will. Its best to call the police now, before one of them gets hurt by one of your animals and they make you put it down. Turn the hose on them! I would, it doesnt hurt them to get a little wet.

Not that kids are dogs, but..... when we lived in the subdivision, our neighbour had two of the yappiest nonsense's. Their owners never tried to keep them quiet, so whenever we or our dogs were outside, they yapped like crazy. That gets pretty tired pretty quick, esp in the summer when we are out alot. One day my dh was out, the neighbours were out, and the dogs wer yapping. DH turned the hose on the dogs through the fence. The neighbour lady almost started cying and after that she at least 'tried' to keep them quiet.
Water works!!

Goodness gracious. What inconsiderate kids. I'm a kid and would never do that. If I ever did go over to someone else's property even after they said to not come again, I'd get my hide tanned.

I'm sorry that you have annoying neighbors.

LOL Get a Scarecrow for your garden hose! Its a motion activated way to keep deer out of your garden. When its cold out side it would work for kids too. If asked about it you are protecting your friut tress from animals.

On a sad note I do feel for the kids though. It sounds like they want some one to pay attition to them, of any kind.

Is the house a rentel? If so find out who the owner is and tell them you are going to charge him the propety owner for damage to your trees and fence.
