I just sold 10 hens in less than 4 hours on craigslist.com and I think my DH (who I had to talk into getting chickens in the first place) was going to cry!!

$10 each...

That's pretty good business if you ask me!!

I know how you feel. We have sold approx 100 or so laying hens and grown roosters this last month or so. It is getting down to slim pickins, but that is what we raise them for, to sell. At times I think "we are never going to sell all these birds and fresh eggs", then the next week I am panicked because we are so low. Congrats on the sales!!

I can relate to the feeling of loss on a smaller scale. I just rehomed two roosters. Try not to feel bad, just think of how many people you are helping in the wonderful world of chickens. We all got our birds from someone.
