New Hampshire!

Hello,

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone in the area raise and sell Basque hens (Euskal Oiloa Marraduna)? They are completely sold out online (Greenfire, Meyer, etc.).

Thanks,
Scott

Those Basques are a nice looking chicken, I looked them up, I don't have any but curious what made you interested in them. You could try eBay I got some hatching eggs there last year and they hatched out successfully. Someone on this forum might have hatching eggs as well. Also for anyone who's interested I have a couple extra rosters to rehome, I am located in Northern NH. Would be willing to drive 40 MI or so to help deliver or meet . One is pure buff Orpington the others are a beautiful mixed breed, that kind of looms like the Basques in the above post. Thanks

I'm looking at landrace breeds due to their natural free ranging capabilities. From what I hear, Basques are the least flighty/timid of the landrace breeds toward humans, and the best for egg production. Also looking at Swedish Flower Hens.
