NH living with two LaMancha ladies , 14 assorted hens, 2 super proud roosters, 9 smelly turkeys, 2 silly cats, 1 old, sweet boxer, 2 human babies and one very good husband.

Newbie near Walpole, NH here!  Just got 4 Golden Comets (almost ready to lay) and 2 RI Red chicks. Can't wait for our first egg! wee.gif

Center Harbor here! I'm a newcomer to chickens too. Just got 2 Red stars, 2 Bard Rocks, 2 RI Reds, and 1 Brahama...plus 13 CornishX in the brooder! Never knew I'd love having my girls so much! I'm still looking for 2 - 4 more layers if anyone knows of someone who needs a home for their girls!

Chickens are like potato chips, you can't have just one!

 

Hens: 1 Buff Orpington & 1 Leghorn.         Pullets: 1 New Hampshire Red, 1 Light Brahma, 1 Speckled Sussex, & 1 Partridge Rock.

Hi All,

 

I am in Rumney with my 7 new chicks to add to my flock of 6 hens and 1 roo!  Went to pick up the 5 I ordered and came home with 7, of course.  My babies are in my living room where I can watch them whenever I want!  And we currently have 2 of my adult hens in the house recuperating from a neighbor dog attack >:-/   Chickens, chickens everywhere!

 

I am wondering if any of you have suggestions for "affordable" organic feed suppliers in the area.

The more the merrier! lol.png Not really sure of any organic, affordable feed stores....I go to Agway or Blue Seal.

Hi, everyone. I'm not from New Hampshire, but my husband is and we plan on moving there in a few months. We are currently checking out real estate in Weare.
I've lurked here for quite a while, and have been researching raising chickens ( I don't have any yet, nor have I ever).
I hope you guys don't mind me posting even though I'm not a resident and have no chickens to call my own yet. smile.png
