Sandhill Preservation Center - Breeds

Update: Chicks finally arrived. A few chicks were sick/doa but the 22 remaining are lively and thriving, so no complaints about bird quality so far. Overall took right around 8.5 months since my first predicted ship date.

what did you end up getting breed wise as they put a note in there

I ended up getting exactly what I ordered (no subs), with one extra of the primary breed I ordered. Started with 26, four died within the first few days (one was just barely alive upon arrival, the others just didn't thrive). Of the remaining 22, 9 were pullets and 13 roosters. One pullet has a deformity (curled toes) so I'll cull her eventually, and all but one of the roosters went into the stew pot by the end of fall.

Sounds like their Red Caps are nice, I ordered them.

Anyone have any experience with their Buff Wyandottes... They are becoming hard to find, and I want some!
