Hi Swampduck! Another Michigander here, also just getting bit by the poultry bug! Always thought poultry were dirty nasty critters! Well, we got a few for fair for my kids and sold them at fair the first few years. Now I want to keep them all year, mainly chickens for laying, but we are also going to get a pair of geese!!

Anyway, I am just south of Lansing, but orginally from Northern Michigan, on the western side. My sister used to live in Oscoda, up by you and I have family in Alpena and Atlanta!

I know another 4-H kid that got into ducks last year. Purchased some from breeders and some from auctions. Ended up with about 30! I think he has some muscovies he might sell. I can check with him if you are interested. They are great ducks!

Oh, we also have 3 mini donkeys, 6 mini goats, 10 rabbits, 2 roosters (left from last years 4-H project), 4 cats, 4 dogs, 1 guinea pig and soon to be lots of chickens and a pair of geese!

Welcome! I got my first batch of girls from Townline and they were very healthy and strong. Now I'm incubating many different breeds that I couldn't get at Townline. The chicken addiction is really... well... addicting.

I'm new, too--hi! Just got my own 15 chicks this week and find they are not any trouble compared to my dogs and cats! Of course, I am just getting started!
