From one Buckeye breeder to another.  Your birds are very, very nice.  I will keep you in mind for replacements so my bloodline doesn't get to close.

Are you able to health paper chicks to ship to Canada?

Very nice birds.  I really want to try this breed.

What paperwork is required to ship chicks to Canada?

Well lots sadly.  You have to be NPIP certified first, then you have to not have any new chickens on the property in the past 6 months and a state vet has to see the breeding stock about the time the eggs are collected, which could be one of your NPIP checks or an extra visit, then they give you papers for the chicks to ship with.

Last time I had it done it was $75 for the paper so probably not worth it for a small number of chicks.  Some hatcheries do it, like McMurray, but they have the vet over anyway all the time, and do lots of shipping so probably get a discount on the paper.

Anyway the rules might have changed so best to ask your state vet if you want to know.

Where are you at?  Not sure a small chick shipment would be a good idea long distance.

Where do you ship from, what is the minimum order, and where can I get more information from you?
