I have three Roman Tufted , two of them got sick after I gave them cracked corn may be tainted from the feed store , I was and am still feeding then geese flock raiser, they are sluggish walk slow . They have grit etc.ne is unsteady on her feet, why it affects all three . I am not gonna take them to the vet as these are natural beings, I will never give them cracked corn from the feed store again , the other things they are were eating water melon on a hot day. I will give them the best care, I remember how President Eisenhower lost his little ones to infection when there were no antibiotics and how Roosevelt died of hypertension. I am a physician myself but I refuse to have interventions like stents etc , though I take preventive medication. That's life , my favorite boy can die in the military and I cannot launch an investigation unless there was obvious negligence , marines dies in a military plane wreck, shit happens to goose too grew up in the dirty trenches of a ghetto in India , played ball in open sewers , survived malaria and hepatitis and survived a war , riots, survived the pubs in Scotland and then survived Chicago. All I can do is to provide good care to the geese, In the ghetto I survived TB etc by raising chicken on the terrace , feeding them from the garbage dump, ate their eggs for protein and got to eat an old hen for my birthday, even made money by taking my prized monarka rooster to the cock fights behind the mosque in Delhi , the rooster even ate clotted goat blood from the butchers before a cock fight,. Life is rough , that's what I teach my pet geese whom arch with me to the tune of bagpipes in the field, they march like true highlanders , they will live and die like Scottish soldiers--- I will provide these three geese the best living conditions, I removed Coyotes , Foxes from the area, they are locked at night, they have a fenced acre and but they have heavy pesticide spraying around the fence by a mega farmer . I will give them even filtered reverse osmosis water. BUT I cannot love them geese as I love my son, because there is nothing I can love like my son. The best love for a pet geese and my hunting dog was the best care , one died of Cancer?? from chemicals in the dog food, the other Anne the champion bitch ,was run over by a careless truck , but even though it hurts , one can make it up for the loss by being very careful about other pets , get the best food and shelter for these American pets and treat others pets with respect and honor
