Hey guys,

I need a new camera but there are so many out there that I don't know what to choose. I'd really like a good camera with nice focus but not to expensive ($200 or less, cheaper the better).

I figured that everyone here have cameras and might be able to give me some recomendations.

Thanks!

My hubby bought me a new kodak easyshare Z812 IS . It is the best camera I have ever had!!! I took pictures of my 7 yr. old this weekend playing in a baseball tournament and You can take moving pictures that are the best ever!!! Not blury. However it was about $300.00 . BUT worth every penny!!!

Nikon coolpix is small but has optical zoom which is much better than digital zoom I think its about $125 this is a digital camera

Edit: do you want digital or film? Nikons and Cannons are what I would choose from

well my mom used to work for canon and we have canon eveyrhting so canon powershot is a great choice. i used the power shot to take pics of the buff orps

we have kodak easyshare z712is its nice, make sure you get a big memory card for which ever camera you choose.

I second the cannon powershot series for a reasonably priced basic digi cam. If you can get one with image stabilization, it is great. I have a cannon powershot 710IS, which is now a year old so may be in your range now. What makes expensive cameras expensive is generally the digital processing components (how fast it can record images how well they can record it) and a quality lens that can get sharp images. Another thing I like about my camera is that it uses regular AA batteries and so you can buy a set of rechargeables and thus not have to keep buying batteries or fork over a load of cash for a battery that is made specific for the camera.
