hi chickie's moma, just read your comment on the june thread.  I knew that chick went to the right person.  I am so happy your husband likes it too.

looking forward to the swap in milford.  we never have time to go to a farmers market.  it should be fun.
if anybody has a broody and needs hatching eggs I will have a small quantity with me.  a good deal of my girls are sitting so my egg count has gone way down.

I plan to have some silkies with me
ee pullets
orpington pullets
some real inexpensive straight run chicks
frizzles
funky looking polish sizzles in solid black
a beautiful ameraucana pair
a feather footed barred bantam naked neck hen
and who knows what else

Quick question?? I have a friend that may come to the swap. She has a few chickens and also sells at the farmers market in Newton where I work. How would she have to set up at the Milford swap? She is NPIP and has the entry paper thing too cause she shows in deerfield. I just wasnt sure what to tell her regarding what side she should be on, chicken or veggie? LOL idunno
She is not on BYC, she did not know of it till I told her today so she may sign up and ask about this too. I told her she needed to come up with a screen name and she said that would take her a few days to think of one becuase she wanted it to be a good one! DUH...just use your name I told her, but she wants something "cute' I told her I was gonna smack her! smack

chicken swaps and farmers market can not be combined.
the farmers market people have their own rules.
greg was told that they figure everything out in advance.
therefore it is not possible to just show up with produce.
you would have to talk to the person in charge on saturday and ask her all the particulars.
this will be like having two stores in a strip mall or like going to a fair.
there are food venders and there are animal exibits on the fair grounds during the same event but they are run by different people.
we will be in the same parking lot but will not be connected .
they have a person who runs the farmers market.

we can only answer questions about our chicken swap.
there will be no farmers market items allowed in the chicken swap section.
for this reason, ALL CHICKEN SWAPPERS MUST CHECK IN WITH GREG BEFORE THEY SET UP.
Greg will direct you to the correct area to set up.

the farmers market area will have no animals and the chicken swap area will have no produce.

I copied and pasted what you wrote here and emailed it to her, do you know who the contact is for the farmers market or would TSC know that. Maybe she will have to have a space opposite her veggies so she can run back and forth! LOL Her name is Debbie Turner

ETA: you should add this to the first page that unveils the surprise so that people will know that the two events have different people in charge in case people with food keep contacting you. I assumed the way it read that Greg was doing both because it says they are combined. Sorry for the confusion I may have caused.

we do not know who to contact for the farmers market or if it would be possible to link up with them so close to the market date.  we have been told that they are very established. hooking up with them sounds like getting into one of your better craft fairs.  we will be meeting them sat.
