Just wanted to let everyone know that vendor known here as NHNANNA is selling straight-run birds as pullets.  I bought twelve at the beginning of swap season and seven of them have just started crowing.  I would say that this is bad business and gives the swaps a bad name.  Whoever is in charge of the swaps should either prevent them from selling at all or make sure that they are telling people that these birds may be of either sex unless they can show documented proof that the birds that they are selling as pullets are, in fact, pullets.  This would make more people more apt to take part in these swaps and be confident that they are getting what they pay for.  Thank you!

I am not sure who you are but I sell both straight run and hatchery pullets and we list them as so.  If you have purchased roosters and we had them listed as pullets we would have gladly swapped them.  I have not received any emails letting me know of this and I think it would have been kinder to let us know so we could have done something about making it right.  We do have receipts on all our hatchery pullets and we are very up front about telling people that they are taking a chance on our straight runs that they are taking a chance that they may end up with some roosters.  I am a very honest person and I would not tell you they were pullets if they weren't.

Hi whrebel42. I know NhNanna very well, we sell a lot of chicks/chickens together, she is one of the most honest people around. Being as this is your first post, there are 2 possibilities, you are either one of the usual troublemakers under an assumed name or you apparently did not read the signs in front of the sale cages. All straight run and pullets are listed as such. In the future, please PM the party if you have encountered a problem rather than assuming the worst and bad mouthing them in the public forum. If you let Greg know who you are, I am sure he will try to check the paperwork you filled out at the swap to see if the mistake was made by you or NhNanna/the hatchery. If an error has been made, upon the return of the roosters, we will see that they are replaced by whatever equivalent pullets we have at this time.smile.png
