About 380 miles I'm considering starting to ship next year. I will probably just do fertile hatching eggs, and not actual chicks. I'm open to suggestions though

Maybe in the spring I'll find an excuse to drive that way Idk how shipping works where I live... In rural and shipping scares me :/

Are there any nj silkie breeders who are AI and NPIP certified? I'm now s closed flock and can only buy from same closed flocks that are certified,I'm looking for two duper broody silkies

First time I found Amber Waves I thought they were in South Carolina. nope. Their birds look great from what I can tell on their website

oops I thought you meant southern California. sorry!I'm california... I should have been wearing my glasses!!!but their birds ARE GREAT. I've had birds shipped to me from as far as Illinois and I'm california they were fine! They weren't new hatch maybe a month old. I still have two after three 1/2 years. if they are a bit older they handle shipping fine also it wasn't expensive. Amber Waves shipping for what ever reason is 3 times as expensive as anyone else I've used!

Show Quality Bantam Silkie chicks available in Partridge, Blue, Black, Splash and White. All chicks will have vaulted skulls and correct toes $10 ea up to 1 month of age, $20 up to 2 months, $30 up to 3 months, $40 up to 4 months. Adult Breeders available in White, Partridge, Black & Blue at $50 each.


Shipping is available with shipping box cost and shipping expense the responsibility of the buyer. We only use Horizon Micro-Environments Bio-Secure Containers for the US Postal Service.

The white breathable membrane covering the ventilation holes protects the birds from airborne diseases, reduces excitability and stress, and is required by USPS postal regulations.
2 sizes are available: 1) Single Stalls run $9.50 and are 18" long, 18" tall, and 8" wide and able to hold up to 10# of birds. 2) Economys run $13.50 and are 16" long, 16" tall, and 16" wide and can also hold up to 10# of birds.


All birds are allowed access to feed and water prior to shipment and have food and moisture sources available during shipping.


Buyer will receive a shipping tracking number and will be informed of expected delivery time.
Birds will only be shipped Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to ensure safe delivery.
Shipping label will be printed from our home computer to save buyer on shipping expense, generally around a 25% to 45% savings. Telephone number will be boldly displayed on box so buyer will be notified by Post Office as soon as birds arrive.
