He doesn't crow

Oh no, I know LOTS of people that never shut their mouths even AFTER a butt whooping.

This is true, but I know lots of people that aren't as smart as chickens either.

My little boy has been the only rooster. The big girls have picked on him and are now HIS girls. They still tell him off, though, so maybe that's the butt whooping part? Thanks, all!

I live in the city and got chicks a few years ago. I can't have roosters so had to send 2 to the farm. I do have one chicken who has never laid and just today realized that I think my my eggs are fertile! I looked at pics of fertile eggs and these look fertile. I did post them for other opinions. Lol I have never noticed any roo behavior. No crowing but she (he) is the loudest clucker. Has anyone ever had this happen? The chicken is larger with larger comb and tail feathers but I just thought it was the breed mix. It's black with some brown on the chest and back. Any thoughts?

i had to roosters once, (thorin and shadow) and only thorin would crow, then when i sold him and when shadow found out the thorin was not there he just let it all out and was crowing so much that i had to get rid of him, too because i live in town. shadow was a black sumatra and thorin was a cuckoo marans.
