You got a little crowing hen! tongue

My Savior is alive and he cannot be destroyed.  He is the way, the truth, and the life and there is no way to Heaven besides through Him.  He is the ONLY way.  If you do not have him you have nothing.  The first and greatest commandment is love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

On their 22nd week birthday, Periwinkle  and Taco?(to be determined) laid their first eggs.  Periwinkle, shown at 6:05 in the morning was singing her egg song and laid later today while I was at work.  I came home to the wonderful surprise of two eggs!

I am going to add a layer of wood chips under the straw since they seemed to move it all to the sides.

I'm so relieved. She really looked like a girl. Congratulations on the beautiful eggs.

My mother loves Barred Rocks so we have tons of them and all of them look like the hen you posted.  We love them.  Such sweet girls.

I love the sound of a roosters crow, the clucking of hens as they scratch away and watching them run around playing. There is nothing more pleasant or soothing then that.

Black Japanese Bantams, Buff Orpingtons, Ameraucanas, Rabbits and Goats.  Two dogs, four cats and one Mom and two daughters.
