Well, I bought my second bike over the weekend.

My first bike was a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic. I sold it before we started the building process on the house. Now that we are moved and settled in .. the fever hit again.

This time it's a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT... Red/Gold. Wow, they've changed. It's a bigger bike .. almost 150 lbs heavier, fuel injected. I'm lovin it! Very nice ride.

DH rides a black cherry HD Heritage ST .. I was sooooooooo tired of being the passenger again.

Soooooooooooooooooooo .. what do you ride and where?? As long as you're ridin'~! (Or if you're NOT riding and just want to TALK riding...)

We were coming home from a new eatin' place in a neighboring town and decided to take a road we've never taken. It was GREAT .. hills and curves .. It feels GREAT to be back in control..

I'll post some pics a little later ..

I used to ride a 1965 Vespa. Does that "count"?

My boyfriend owns about 14 bikes at present, mostly vintage European (Vespa, MotoGuzzi, Triumph, as far as I know). He's a mechanic, so of course none of them run.

We've got a couple of modern mopeds we use to get downtown (park ANYWHERE!), but otherwise I don't ride anymore.

I'd love to have a small displacement Honda tho.

My husband has a Yamaha Virago that he's working on right now. Before that it was a Honda ( I forget which model

) and before that it was a Honda Goldwing. I have never ridden on any of them...I'm a chicken! I think I will ride on the Virago when it's finished, if I can build up the nerve.

Joz - Of course it counts! lol.

If there is one thing I DON'T have .... it's "brand envy" ...

Scooter, moped, street-bike, dirt-bike, cruiser .. as long as you're ridin!

Funny about the mechanic boyfriend with no bikes that run .. hehe

You can DO it! I can't believe you wouldn't ride on the Goldwing ...

The Bandit isn't so bad for long rides, but the FZR stinks. They are a ton of fun, but if you are going far plan on having a sore butt. I'm dying to get back out and do another track day but they are not cheap. I tell people to just take up smoking crack. It's cheaper than doing track days.

He gets bikes all the time that don't run, in trade for work on other bikes, or because the owner doesn't want to foot the bill for the repairs (or the diagnostics he's already done). Some he trades for other broken bikes, or for parts. But after working 8-10hrs a day in a giant metal warehouse with no A/C, last thing he wants to do is work on MORE bikes when he gets home.

He's starting to edge into cars tho... which is worrying, because now we've got 3 cars that don't run (2 mercedes, 1 VW rabbit pickup). I did make sure that the house I bought had a 2000sf garage just for him. Told him he can put whatever he wants in it, as long as it doesn't prevent access to the plumbing/elec.
