Finished tractor! - Page 2

Thanks!  We like it too!  There are doors on each end at the top to collect eggs.  The panel in the front comes off to aid in cleaning...etc...also..we hinged the walkway and put a hook on the bottom of the walkway and the eye on the bottom of the roost...that way we can hook up the walkway when we move the tractor and don't have to keep taking it in and out each time we move it!  On the bottom on the right end where the feeder is..this opens..in fact comes off.  We didn't originally do this on both ends but before winter I will make the other end so it opens too because the place I will 'park' the tractor for the winter is such that I would want to get in and out of the left side instead for feeding and watering. But as I said right now only the bottom right panel comes off and this is what we open to let them free range and sometimes even remove the front panel while they're out because they like going up and looking out!!  I honestly don't know for a fact whether the wood was treated or not...we bought some of that deck preserver stuff that has a slight tint in it and painted all the wood with that!  Let me know if you want the exact name of it..I can get that when I'm at home.  It was pretty easy to build really..any more questions and I'd be happy to answer!!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I was wondering what the dimensions of the wood you used for bracing is? They don't look like 2x4's.

They look like 1x2's to me
