How old is too old to eat turkey?

I know this is gonna sound crazy, but I have never eaten any of our turkeys but hunt wild ones every Spring. We harvest the breast meat and cut it into nugget sized pieces and fry them. I cut them up and put them in a bowl and cover with milk and let them sit in the fridge a day or two. Then flour and fry them.

We have a Bourbon Red hen who is going to be Turkey Day dinner this year. She will be about 18 months old. She is a dingbat compared to the other girls and her babies are about as dumb as she is. She is also on the small side. Our other ladies are good size and produced better looking offspring, so we will be keeping them.

I said in an earlier post, I wouldnt eat out of my flock, but I would in this case or to get rid of a trouble maker.
I wouldnt want to sell either of those.
