1 year vs. 3 year rabies shot for cats

I took my cat to the vet. yesterday (9/10/13) and asked him this same question--1 year vs. 3 year vaccines. He said that in various studies of the vaccine, they have found a higher incidence of injection site cancer when using the 3 year vaccine so his office uses the 1 year only.

Yes. This is why I only give the one year vaccine myself. The adjuvants in 3 year vaccines are linked to higher incidence of vaccine related sarcomas.

I also give rabies vaccines in the right rear leg so if needed, we could amputate the leg and save the cat's life.
