I used to get layered paper bags but our feed store recently got this type in. I am guessing this is new packaging for them. Maybe your feed store hasn't sold out of their old supply yet? This change happened for us only in the last few months.

All I have are the paper ones from Purina....they quit making them for some time ago. Wished I would have saved them but used them for garbage bags for my lints and odds and ends of things for the trashman to take in.

I agree, you could definitely start selling these. The first thing that came to mind was grocery shopping. Once you start getting more bags I would double it though. That way its more sturdy. And to get it out there. Make yourself one and use it at the farmers market. I bet you would have tons of people asking you about it and wanting to buy one.

Always remember.. you are unique, just like everyone else.

GREAT idea! I have paper bags too but will keep it in mind. I made the capri sun bags but they're too awkward in the machine...

THat is just too cool!!

I just asked the DH (he's the one that carry's the bags of Flock Raiser) Ours come in the plastic!!

Must finish other projects first, but I know what I'm gonna be making my ma for Christmas!! lol

Ours comes in paper still (and it was milled in June so it's not old) I assume that different mills are switching over at different times.

One thing is for sure. The price of a dead hen is a dead pred.

Hmmmmmmmm Wonder if the feeed store would buy them back to sell at the store for a reductio  in feed costs???

Empty Nester mother of a son and daughter, married for almost 25 years, I have 2 chihuahuas, 30 chickens including Ameraucanas, Plymouth Barred Rocks, Cuckoo Marans, Partridge Plymouth Rocks, Welsummers, Columbian Wyandottes,a bunny and several cats. Life is great!
